Maya Negri has created a sphere compiled of various inspirations, abundant in views, memories, scents and experiences from across the globe. Her creations in fabric delineate timeless fashionable elegance. These garments connect anyone who wears them to New York, Athens, Tokyo and Japan but also to the most important location – themselves.
Maya Negri devoted herself to fashion in a trip to India, when she was only 21. In a small village, Maya encountered gypsy women mastering the craft of chuli – colorful traditionally garments. She was hooked. She stayed in the village and created her first mini-collection. Although she never imagined becoming a fashion designer, this experience changed her life. Upon returning to Israel, she enrolled to Shenkar College.
Maya Negri's point of departure is the female body. After graduating, she realized that many women struggle to find quality pieces that will allow them to maintain a sophisticated look that will be suitable and refined. To meet their needs, Maya has developed a style based on a minimalistic sculptural quality, monochromatic palette with a touch of avant-garde. Her soft fabrics envelop the female body, without limiting it to temporary trends.
